Our Team

WGC's core team has been leading research into wireless grids since the inception of the concept.

The team benefits from the contributions of CEO, President and Director John F. Andrews, a proven leader with over 25 years of experience holding executive positions in technology-oriented companies.

Over the last year we have built a talented team of handpicked software engineers and architects who are working on further R&D and the commercialisation of our research.

The team is supported by a world class Board of Directors, including Kelly Hoffman, a serial entrepreneur, who founded VMG and who has successfully developed a number of start-ups into sustainable and profitable businesses. Additionally Bruce Lev, Managing Director of Loeb Partners Corp. is actively involved in the company’s development.

WGC Founder Dr. Lee W. McKnight, who co-invented ad hoc distributed resource coordination is a former professor at MIT and Tufts and is currently a professor at Syracuse University, remains actively involved through his work as a member of our board

John Andrews - CEO John has over 25 years of experience holding executive positions in technology-oriented companies, both private and public. A seasoned executive, who has accomplished year-after-year of success, achieving revenue, profit and business goals within start-up, large corporate, private and public, in dynamically changing environments John is a proven leader who has led and motivated teams comprised of over 2500 employees. 
John has most recently served as President and CEO of Evans Data Corp., a market research firm serving the majority of the industry’s global market leaders including, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, Intel and Nokia.  Prior to Evans, he was CEO at Giga (NASDAQ GIGA), where he led the company’s sale to Forrester Research (FORR) in 2003. Prior to Giga he led several early stage companies raising over $70MM including E-MedSoft which he took public and eventually merged with a $225MM Healthcare company.John is considered a technology industry thought leader and has recently been a keynote speaker and presenter at many global IT conferences. John has an MBA from University of Puget-Sound, Seattle and a BA, Business Administration and Finance – Whitworth University, Spokane.
